Eye Measure is a Sheffield-based artist working primarily with live coding to create experimental electronic music with industrial, noise and ambient influences. Their practice explores the possibilities and limitations of computer music, with a particular interest in pushing simple structures towards greater density, intensity and unpredictability.
Using TidalCycles, patterns are repeated, layered, distorted and transformed, with the coding process leaving room for mistakes and unexpected results. They have performed at venues such as at Cafe OTO, Corsica Studios and Venue MOT, as well as festivals including Norbergfestival, Supernormal and No Bounds. Alongside performing, they co-run Pattern Club Sheffield, a workshop and event series exploring algorithmic patterns across different disciplines.
