TRSSX

TRSSX is a cofounder of Glasgow’s club EXIT that opened in 2023, and head of Wodawater, established in 2017. Previously involved in the diverse scenes of Chicago, New York and Krakow, TRSSX is a live act and DJ embracing industrialised techno forms and modular signals. His latest releases include „The Degree of Difference Between Them” on the seminal industrial label Zhark Recordings Berlin and „A Mass Deliberately Deprives Itself of Reason” on his own imprint Wodawater, as well as the experimental album “Splitter Index”, recorded live as a duo p4rticl3 formed with the Berlin-based composer Gerriet Krishna Sharma and released on OAOE. He has performed internationally in Greece, Latvia, Poland, US and Germany.

Faithful to the brutalist principles explored on a preceding pair of 12”s with Wodawater and Berlin’s industrial bastion, ‘A Mass Deliberately Deprives Itself of Reason’ follows thru with some of TRSSX’ gnarliest gobs of distorted techno gristle. The co-founder of Glasgow’s EXIT club shows his mettle for buckling speakers and grinding bones with a ghoulish procession of masticated textures and boulder-swang beats where the grim lump of ‘Descending’ gives way to the jagged pulse of ‘Potentialities in Anticipation of Going to Waste’, the slow-motion kinky masochism of ‘Shoving Objects Down Your Throat’, fierce EBM techno in ‘The Degree of the Spiral Curve’, and the chassis-shudder quake of ‘Unprovoked’.
